Preparation Steps

  • Carefully cut larger mushrooms into 1/8 inch thick slices for even drying.
  • Place the sliced mushrooms in a single layer on dehydrator trays or parchment-lined baking sheets.
  • Preheat your oven to 130ºF, spread mushrooms evenly, and dry for 4-8 hours, flipping every 1-2 hours.
  • Set your dehydrator to 125ºF and let them dry for 4-12 hours, checking hourly.
  • Blend dried mushrooms until finely ground in a high-speed blender or food processor.
  • Transfer your dried mushrooms into an airtight container and store them properly.

Notes

Store dehydrated mushrooms in an airtight container for up to 12 months in a cool, dark place. Rehydrate by soaking in warm water for 20-30 minutes before use.
