Instructions
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
Remove the stems from the mushrooms, chop them finely, and set the caps aside.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add chopped mushroom stems, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
Transfer the sautéed mixture to a bowl and allow it to cool slightly. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan, pecans, and parsley until combined.
Fill each mushroom cap with the mixture and top with reserved Parmesan and pecans.
Bake the stuffed mushrooms on the baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a richer flavor, let the filled mushrooms rest for about 15 minutes before baking. Serve with balsamic glaze for additional flavor.
