  • 0.5 cups Corn Syrup
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Room temperature
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Chilled

Instructions

How to Make The Ultimate Matilda Chocolate Cake

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F and prepare three 8-inch round cake pans by greasing them or lining them with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and salt until there are no lumps.
  • Blend Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, combine the eggs, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and sour cream. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the dry ingredient mixture into the wet mixture, then add cocoa powder mixed with instant coffee and boiling water. Fold until just combined.
