Instructions
How to Make
Brown the Italian sausage over medium heat in a large Dutch oven until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
Add the diced onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until onion is translucent.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Add petite diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and ditalini pasta. Bring to boil and cook until pasta is al dente, about 8 minutes.
Lower heat and stir in softened cream cheese and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for 5 minutes until melted.
Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
