Instructions
Preparation
Start by combining 4 cups of whole milk, 1½ cups of dry uncooked white rice, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract in a blender. Blend for about 1 minute until everything is well mixed.
Use a fine-mesh strainer to pour the blended mixture into a large pitcher to separate the smooth liquid from any rice debris.
Place the remaining rice back into the blender and repeat the blending process with an additional 4 cups of milk, ¼ cup of sugar, and more cinnamon if desired. Strain this mixture again.
Pour all the strained liquid back into the pitcher, gently stir to combine, and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.
Stir well before serving, pour over ice, and enjoy.
Notes
Optional garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick for extra flavor.
