How to Make The Ultimate Single-Serve Chocolate Chip Cookie

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 3 tablespoons of butter until smooth. Allow to cool.
  • Combine the cooled melted butter with 3 tablespoons of light brown sugar and 1.5 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Mix until creamy.
  • Stir in 1 large egg yolk and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until fully blended.
  • Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of cornstarch (if using), and fold together.
  • Gradually add 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour and 6 tablespoons of chocolate chips. Mix until a uniform dough forms.
  • Scoop 1/4 cup of dough, shape it into a ball, and place it on the baking sheet. Freeze for 5-10 minutes.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and center is soft. Optional: press more chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before enjoying.
