For the Donuts

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can use gluten-free flour blend
  • 2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice Substitute individual spices if needed
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder Make sure it's fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Just a pinch enhances flavor
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree Fresh pumpkin can be used
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Can substitute with melted coconut or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted) Use dairy-free butter for vegan option
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract No substitutions recommended
  • 2 large Eggs (at room temperature) Flax eggs as vegan alternative
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can be used
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust as per taste preference

For Coating

  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon (for coating) Can mix with other spices
  • 1/4 cup Butter (for coating)

Instructions

How to Make Irresistible Delicious Pumpkin Spice Donuts

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large donut pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, olive oil, melted butter, vanilla extract, eggs, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this mix into the wet ingredients.
  • Transfer the donut batter into a piping bag or zip-top bag. Fill each donut pan cavity about 2/3 full.
  • Bake the donuts for around 25 minutes or until they spring back when touched. Let them cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
  • Brush warm donuts with melted butter and dip in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.

Notes

Garnish with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar if desired.
