Steps to Prepare

  • Prepare the Crust: Allow ready-made pie crusts to reach room temperature.
  • Dice the Apples: Wash, core, and dice Granny Smith apples, coating with lemon juice.
  • Cook the Filling: Combine diced apples, sugar, water, cinnamon, ground ginger, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Thicken the Filling: Increase heat to medium-high, add cornstarch mixed with water, and stir until thickened.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll and Cut: Roll out pie crust and cut circles for muffin tin.
