How to Make Savory Easy Breakfast Casserole
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sour cream, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, kosher salt, and ground black pepper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the pork sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease and stir into the egg mixture.
Sauté the diced green and red bell peppers along with the green onions for 2-3 minutes until soft. Add to the egg mixture.
Pour the combined mixture into the greased baking pan. Bake for 35-50 minutes until the edges are set.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, top with fresh herbs or a dollop of salsa. Make-ahead option available.
