Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and add to the custard mixture. Toss to soak the croissant pieces.
  • Pour the croissant and custard mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 50-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
