Preparation
Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) and grease a muffin pan lightly or line it with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside 4 tablespoons of this mixture for later.
Gently flatten the puff pastry sheets on a clean countertop. Reserve two sheets for layering on top.
Spread ¼ cup of softened butter evenly on the bottom two sheets of pastry and cover with most of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place the reserved pastry sheets on top, slice into 12 strips, roll each strip tightly, and position them into muffin cups.
Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and aromatic. Sprinkle with reserved cinnamon sugar after baking.
Notes
Optional: Drizzle with melted chocolate for added decadence.
