  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce regular
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing

  • 1 tablespoon basil leaves for freshness

Instructions

How to Make Easy Flavorful One-Pot Soy Sauce Mushroom Rice

  • Soak short grain rice in two cups of water for about 30 minutes.
  • Slice the shiitake mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Mince the garlic, ginger, and shallots.
  • Rinse the soaked rice under running water until the water runs clear.
  • In a rice cooker, mix the rinsed rice with the prepared mushrooms, bamboo shoots, minced ginger, garlic, shallots, and one cup of water.
  • Press the cook button on your rice cooker and let it cook until fluffy, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Once cooked, stir in the basil and green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

For an extra crunch, you can top with toasted sesame seeds. Adjust soy and oyster sauces according to taste.
