Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the Oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Unwrap one cold sheet of puff pastry and lay it flat on your prepared tray.
Generously spread the Nutella over the pastry sheet, covering it evenly.
Place another sheet of puff pastry on top of the Nutella, aligning it well.
Cut out bat shapes from the layered pastries using Halloween-themed cookie cutters, about 18 treats.
Brush the tops of the bats with the beaten egg. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Keep puff pastry cold for best results. Optional: Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt before baking for a sweet and salty surprise.
