Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the Oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Unwrap one cold sheet of puff pastry and lay it flat on your prepared tray.
  • Generously spread the Nutella over the pastry sheet, covering it evenly.
  • Place another sheet of puff pastry on top of the Nutella, aligning it well.
  • Cut out bat shapes from the layered pastries using Halloween-themed cookie cutters, about 18 treats.
  • Brush the tops of the bats with the beaten egg. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Keep puff pastry cold for best results. Optional: Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt before baking for a sweet and salty surprise.
