  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Essential for achieving that desirable sauce consistency.
  • 2 tablespoons Water Needed to create the cornstarch slurry.

For Garnishing

  • 4 Green Onions Sliced for garnish.

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Begin by cooking the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  • Mix in the brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir and cook until heated through.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch with water to make a slurry. Pour this into the skillet and cook, stirring continuously for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss to coat the noodles thoroughly with the sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Optional: Top with toasted sesame seeds for an added crunch.
