For a Final Touch

  • 1/4 cup Crushed Nuts Any type of nuts you prefer.

Instructions

How to Make Apple Monster Mouths

  • Wash your apples thoroughly under running water. Slice each apple in half vertically, carefully removing the core to create two monster mouths ready for fillings.
  • Generously spread a layer of peanut butter onto the cut side of each apple half. This not only adds flavor but also serves as a strong adhesive for your toppings.
  • Position the sliced almonds along the edge of the peanut butter layer to resemble sharp teeth. Press them gently into the peanut butter to keep them secure.
  • Place two mini marshmallows above the mouth to create eyes. For an extra scare, press mini chocolate chips into the center of each marshmallow to represent pupils.
  • Feel free to add another dollop of peanut butter if you like! Then sprinkle some crushed nuts or extra chocolate chips on top for added texture and flavor.
  • Arrange your spooky creations on a platter and serve them fresh. Watch the smiles and giggles as everyone bites into these fun, healthy snacks!

Notes

Optional: Serve with a side of yogurt for dipping! Freshness can be maintained by soaking apple slices in lemon water briefly before assembly.
