Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the cinnamon sugar chips.
  • In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, water, and lemon juice. Heat until boiling.
  • Add chopped apples to the boiling mixture and simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  • Remove 1/4 cup of the liquid and whisk it with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water. Return to the saucepan and simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Spray tortilla wedges with cooking spray, coat them with the mixture, and arrange on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the tortilla chips for 15-17 minutes or until crispy and golden.
  • Serve warm apple pie dip with crispy cinnamon sugar chips.

Notes
